The Farm

Bringing creativity to the table

Our Farm and creative retreat situated in the rolling fields just outside Bordeaux, South West France is where some of our biggest culinary breakthroughs are developed.

Plates’ founders Keeley and Kirk wanted to create a space where their team have full creative freedom to experiment, innovate and develop flavours, dishes and experiences in an environment that is as close to nature and the best produce as possible.

At the start of 2020 work began to renovate the farm house and outbuildings to their former glory and beyond.

The lovingly restored “maison de maître” consists of many acres of farmland for produce and sustainable agriculture. Fermentation rooms, development kitchen and a food studio for client and consultancy collaborations.

Our entertainment and dining spaces comprise of a 100 seater converted barn Restaurant and events space, multiple terraces, gardens and a private bar.

The main Farmhouse sleeps 16 for retreats, events and cook-school stays and a separate on site 3 bedroom cottage is currently being renovated with completion date of early 2025.

Our full team’s focus is currently on opening the doors of our London permanent restaurant in April/May 2024 followed by a soft launch of the Farm & Retreat to the public in July 2024.
